Facts and numbers about the Rothsee The Rothsee lake which has a surface area of 2,1 square kilometres is the largest natural bathing lake in the district of Roth. It is divided into two parts, the upper lake or pre-dam and the main lower lake. The upper lake is 50 hectares large and includes a 20 hectare Nature reserve. The main lake is 160 hectares large (of which 10 hectares are nature reserve). A beautiful walking and cycling trail, about 12 km in length invites you to circle the Rothsee. Around the lake there are many leisure and recreational facilities available for visitors.
The Water Centre Heuberg on the main lake invites you to bath and relax. This, the largest water centre also offers overnight parking for mobile homes and parking for buses. A restaurant, café and kiosk provides a range of refreshments for the leisure guests. Toilet facilities as well as showers are available on the lakeside bathing areas. There is a playground for smaller guests. A futher attraction is the 18 hole minigolf course and the Environment Station.
At the leisure centre Birkach the Café-Bistro with its wonderful terrace invites you to stay. Toilet facilities and showers are available on the bathing areas. For the sports minded there is a volley ball field and a playgrounf for children.
At the leisure centre Grashof the bathing ramp provides the opportunity for people who are physically impaired to enjoy the refreshing cool waters of the Rothsee without a problem. Naturally there are toilet facilities and childrens playground.
At the Kronmuehle there are 700 parking spaces available. Here too there are changing facilities on the sunbathing areas.
